Paging Dr. Fron-ken-steen
MacauVIP just dropped a comment saying essentially "WTF Chuck! Where you been?"
I probably should've mentioned this before but didn't. December is usually the super crazy busy time on VegasTripping with our annual readers poll awards The Trippies. I'll spare you the details, other than it's a shit load of work.
The coolest part - at least on the Macau end of things - was I got to talk with Wynn PR honcho Jennifer Dunne a bit and she vowed give us access to the Wynn Macau & Cotai toybox via their dedicated PR contact.
The other coolest part - overall - was a tour of Encore (before it opened) with Wynn Design & Development guru Roger Thomas. He seemed jazzed when I compared a lot of the features at Encore to what we've all seen at Wynn Macau. The Roger Tour was a total goosebump experience. If you haven't, here's a slew of Encore photos from photos.vt.
Finally, I've been thrashing out a ton of reviews for VT... including a stay in the new Circus Circus rooms, restaurants at Encore and some reader submitted goodies. Last on the list (and what I'm working on right this second) is the big kahuna - a review of Encore's rooms w/video.
I'm heading back to Encore for three days next week as part of their 'media week.' Included in the mix are various tours, tastings and a blackjack tournament (which I'm going to win.) The focus for me are two : another property tour w/Roger (where I hope to juice him for some details about Encore Macau) and an Architecture and Design Roundtable, with Roger Thomas, primary architect DeRuyter Butler and interior designer Todd-Avery Lenahan. To say I'm jazzed is an understatement.
It might be silent on MT right now, but I'm hoping that this is the seed sewing season for excellent access to the opening at Encore Macau and more...
I truly apologize if you think I've forgotten about y'all. Unfortunately, Dr. Fron-ken-steen's cloning machine hasn't been perfected yet.
