Altira (Crown Macau - 澳門皇冠酒店) - The Real Deal :

Crown Macau's multi-level casino caters to the highest of the high rollers. Despite Crown Macau's size, its casino is smaller by comparison to some of the other resorts in Macau. But small, in this case, does not mean they have skimped on decadence. Crown Macau features 220 gaming tables and 500 slot machines in their public areas and a number of high limit VIP gaming salons. It's a gorgeous sight to behold... a must visit.

When all was said and done, Crown Macau cost $586 million dollars to build.

Ratings and Reviews of Altira (Crown Macau - 澳門皇冠酒店):
My Rating: 5

Hotel visit in april in one of the 8 Premier Suites.

Positive:

-Property Site. I know some people say the hotel in the nowehere. On the other side you have to say that none of the other top hotels such a glance at the casino skyline of Macao (Grand Lisboa, Lisboa, Wynn and MGM Grand). All (!) rooms look over the sea to the mentioned building, especially in the night it is fantastic.

-Great concept. Casino and hotel has a real 6-star design. Marble, great rooms, luxurious pure. And above all, there is not a US-Casino and not a SMJ-styling. It is something quite different, unique in macao.

-The staff are extremely friendly. You have really the feeling that they know in what kind of house they work and that they are really so identified. It was also the only place (Hotel/Casino) in Macau where i meet people with portuguese descent.

-The casino does extremely elegant. Every day and night were sufficient open tables. And not just Baccara, but also Black Jack and other games. It is impressive to see tables with a "mountain" of chips in the amount of HKD100'000 and HKD500'000.

-In the Crystal Club in the top floor, you can enjoy drinks and an cuban cigars. Absolutely recommendable, even if you do not stay in the hotel.

Negative:

-My suite was not to convince the last detail. The door to the toilet could not close. Some details, especially in bathrooms were not processed in 5star level. But what has most disturbed that was that the entertainment system was so loud (also in the off-modus) that you could not sleep. I had the whole entertainment system had to manually turn off (in the bad room I had to burst the mirror so that I could interrupt the flow), so you could sleep in peace.

-Most employee in hotel speak only Chinese. For me personally, this is not so crucial, because I only speak little English. Btw, sorry for all errors in my review (thanks).

I give the Crown Towers 5 stars.

My Rating: 4

Casino is now basically like one of SJM's ubiquitous baccarat parlors, and is just as exciting. Give it a skip.

However what you MUST do is take the hotel elevators to the lobby on the top floor, and then get to the bar for a jaw-dropping view of city.
