Rio Casino - 利澳娛樂場 - The Real Deal :

Rio is a pretty nice joint, the decor is classical hotel architecture but the casino has definitely shown some wear. The table minimums start at HK$25 for roulette inside bets to HK$100 for baccarat and blackjack and go higher. The crowd is reasonably friendly although not much, if any, English is spoken here.

Rio Casino Macau opened in Feburary 2006 in the bottom three floors of the Rio Hotel.

Rio Hotel Macau is a very pretty hotel located on the north side of Avenida de Amizade about mid-way between Grand Lisboa and Golden Dragon. It is about a 10 minute walk from Hotel Lisboa to the west and Star World to the south.

Rio offers 449 guest rooms and suites plus a Presidential suite (I wonder which President stayed here?). The rooms are very well appointed and feature flat screen tvs, mini bar, broadband internet, safes, movies on demand, walk in shower and separate tub. The rooms are clean and very well maintained... if you cant get a room at one of the newer joints, Rio is a great option for the discriminating traveller.

Rio Casino is one of the nicer of the 'hotel joints' in Macau. The first floor features a handful of baccarat and blackjack tables with pretty low limits. A quick jaunt up the escalator you will find even more baccarat as well as roulette, blackjack and a bunch of slot machines tucked away in the far corner. The next floor up is all VIP.
