StarWorld's casino is hip clean and comfortable. The place gets pretty jammed on the weekends - at least on the first floor, so if you want some more privacy and cant jump to VIP level, try the second floor. Slot players will find tons of video slots here as well as electronic baccarat and sic bo games. Table minimums range from HK$50 on up with them hitting HK$200 on the weekend. The casino staff is extremely friendly and most of them do speak English. The gamblers are mostly Chinese but there is a larger number of westerners in the joint than a lot of the casinos in Macau.

Galaxy Star World Casino opened on October 19, 2006 and is one of the newer joints in Macau (along with Wynn Macau, Grand Lisboa, Sands and MGM Grand Macau.) The truly gorgeous property was designed by architect Rocco Yim.

Galaxy StarWorld is located jsut west of the mid point of the Avenida de Amizade strip, next door to Wynn Macau and across the street from President Casino and Pharoah's Palace. It is a 2 minute from Wynn's east entrance, 8 minutes from MGM's north east entrance and 15 minutes from Sands. The hotel rooms are situated right on top of Rua de Sintra and feature excellent views of the water and the Macau tower and the traffic circle in front of the Lisboas and Wynn.

Galaxy Star World features 507 hotel rooms on thirty something floors. The rooms are classy and elegant and full of surprises. Amenities include high speed internet (wired), a truly beautiful bathroom, minibar with large bottles of booze and condoms, excellent room service, great staff, an extremely comfortable yet firm Asian style mattress, original abstract oil paintings, large tub with extendable water wand, rain shower and tv speaker control in the toilet. Recommended!
Restaurants at Galaxy StarWorld Casino - 星際娛樂場
Galaxy StarWorld features seven dining options most of which are located inside of the casino. Bi Feng Tang (Chinese deli cafe), Laurel (high end Cantonese restaurant chain on the second floor), Jade Garden (Shanghaiese), Inagiku (Japanese including teppanyaki), Temptations (Portuguese, Macanese, international), Whisky Bar (booze baby!), Pastry Boutique (gourmet pastry items), StarGaze Lounge (casino 3rd floor), Po Chung Po (Chinese herbalist cuisine) and it's newest offering Inagiku (Teppanyaki)
Just about everything you'll eat at StarWorld will be top notch, we do have one gripe however - hours for the restaurants are not posted at the entrances and may of them do not open until 6pm or later. If its open, people will come! I had the hankering for Inagiku teppanyaki at 3pm and was out of luck. Fortunately, their room service kicks ass so I was satisfied, however StarWorld may wish to expand their restaurant hours, market their restaurant properties as destinations unto themselves and expand the hours.
Galaxy StarWorld Casino - 星際娛樂場 Tips
StarWorld's casino features a great lounge area to the northern end of both main casino floors. Entertainment includes belly dancers, magicians, dance troupes, mimes, singers and other assorted performers. This stuff is definitely entertaining, even if you have no idea what they are singing about.
Better lighting earns it an upgrade from me, however the place is has a stench of smoke you can cut with a knife.

Think if the Lady Luck was updated to a Blade Runner theme, and lost the charm. The place is almost the definition of dank, dark, and smokey. Do not be fooled by the gorgeous lobby. Staff was surly. And the selection of games was small, especially at the lower limits.
The place could be better, but the really, really need to get a better air system for all that smoke.
