Its an interesting joint to take a walk through fer sure, but if you're looking for some action in a more comfortable place try some of the newer joints like Star World, Grand Lisboa or Wynn Macau. Like most of the middle-aged casinos in Macau, Casino Fortuna is essentially a hotel floor that has had its rooms removed and replaced with a ton of casino tables. The ceilings are a little bit higher, so they obviously planned to make it a casino. The dealers are friendly and the crowd is one of the more rambunctious and vocal than at most joints in downtown Macau.
The real show here is on the sidewalk outside of the casino on the weekends. There are bunch of real characters outside - possibly Chinese gangsters and loan sharks - that are quite a raucous bunch. It's reasonably safe though as there is a ton of foot traffic and a bajillion pawnshops nearby.
