Vegas, Baby!
A number of readers were kind enough to send us photos of brand spankin new Ponte 16 property which is owned/managed by a consortium of operators including SJM : Societedad de Jugos de Macau, Macau Success and Accor Hotels (Sofitel). I'd like to give a quick shout out to Ace21 and another anonymous contributor for sharing their pics with us. On behalf of all the MacauTripping community, I thank you.
Ok... let's take a looksi.
Ponte 16: The Beauty Shot
The large structure is the Sofitel, the top few floors of the darker colored building to the right is the Mansions at Sofitel - a boutique portion of the greater Ponte 16 Sofitel. A VIP gaming area is located on the first floor below the Mansions, right behind hotel lobby and entrances. Adjacent to the VIP casino, to the right of the main entrance/LED board is the Rendezvous bar.
The Hood
Ponte 16 is located directly on the inner harbor, on the north western slope of the Macau peninsula. The surrounding areas are typical Macau semi-highrise apartment buildings. No, Ponte 16 doesn't normally look like the backstage area at an Allman Brothers concert, this array of road cases is for the lighting gear that was set up for the grand opening celebration.
