The Crown of Macau (Part 2) : When Six Is Nine
More Macau!
Vegas, Baby!

Tenmasa : Crown Macau
Tenmasa is a traditional Japanese tea house style sushi, sashimi, tempura, rice and noodles restaurant with gorgeous shoji walls and doors, tatami mats, servers in elaborately embroidered kimonos are seated nearby in sieza position at all times. The cooks prepare the food before you in a sunken kitchen using an oil filled wok... it's similar to teppanyaki, but minus the grill and ridiculous showmanship you might find at your local Benihana. Tenmasa also features a sake bar which has gorgeous views of downtown Macau. It is a very light, calm and refreshing atmosphere, I highly suggest making the trip to Crown Macau specifically for an evening at Tenmasa.

Ying : Crown Macau
Across the hallway from Tenmasa is Ying, Crown Macau's contemporary Cantonese restaurant. Ying's Chef de Cuisine is Tam Kwok Fung, who is known for presenting dazzling dim sum at Mei Jiang inside the Peninsula Hotel, Bangkok. Dishes include stir fried wagyu beef with ginger, spring onion and asparagus, steamed conpoy sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf, and about five different shark's fin dishes. Ying is open for lunch and dinner every day.
In terms of decor, the place is gorgeous. Check out the floral etchings on the lucky red colored mirrors, and the intricate geometrical molding surrounding the swooping light fixture on the ceiling. The inside is just as gorgeous, but unfortunately I didn't take any photos.
